The coronavirus pandemic is currently impacting all of our lives – and the stock markets too – but even before the extent of the threat became known, we at AAB Wealth were in the midst of a busy few months.

With exam success for no fewer than five of our colleagues, plus engagements, births, and retirements, there’s a lot to catch up on.

Five-star success

Professional development is very important to us here at AAB Wealth, helping us to provide you with the best possible service and advice. We are very proud of the ongoing commitment shown by our team with five colleagues all enjoying exam success over the past few months.

Sarah and Jack (Trainee Paraplanners), Kirsty and Claire (Client Service Support) and Beth (Client Service Support Team Leader) are all working towards their Regulated Diploma in Financial Services, which will not only enhance their knowledge but will complement their experience and help us provide you with continued excellent service.

More colleague success

Jack was also presented with the Achievers Award at the annual dinner of the Insurance Institute of Aberdeen.

The award was introduced to recognise rising stars within the profession and honour new entrants who have scored the highest marks in entry-level qualifications, recognising effort and commitment to personal professional development.

Jack achieved the highest regional mark in two exams. Massive congratulations to Jack from all at AAB Wealth.

A surprise engagement

We also are delighted to announce that Sarah recently got engaged.

We’re not sure how he managed it, but Sarah’s fiancé George kept this a secret from her, popping the question over a lovely weekend away.

Retirement news

We would like to wish our Compliance Officer, Ian Smith, all the very best as he retires from the firm.

We have all thoroughly enjoyed working with Ian and would like to thank him for his hard work and commitment during his time at AAB Wealth.

We’re not sure his wife Sharon will see any more of Ian in retirement than she did while he was in full-time work – he’ll be swapping compliance for the golf course, being a keen golfer at Newmachar Golf Club.

Finally, congratulations to Chartered Financial Planner Ian Campbell and his wife Ciara on the birth of their baby boy Alexander (Alex) Eugene Campbell on 1 January 2020. Following in the footsteps of big brother Cian, Alex also arrived exactly when expected, on his due date!

AAB Wealth business continuity announcement – Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We are continually responding to advice from both the UK and Scottish governments and our priority is to protect our staff and their families while continuing to deliver our high standard of service to clients.

Following government announcements confirming we must all act to protect ourselves, others, and the NHS, we decided to close our offices from Monday 23 March 2020. Although the offices will be closed, we will continue to operate as normal for our clients, as detailed here.
