The AAB Charitable Initiative (AABIE) is the platform which facilitates all at AAB to be able to invest in the communities in which we operate.

AABIE seeks partnership with charities and invites applications from worthy causes for funding and volunteering donations from the initiative. Since its launch in 2016, AABIE has donated grant funding in excess of £130,000 to numerous charities throughout Scotland’s North East and Central Belt, as well as donating over 4,500 volunteering hours.

In line with our wider corporate social responsibility policy, AABIE allows us to extend the reach of our efforts to the wider community and support a large variety of projects. You can find out more about how AABIE has previously helped charities here.

What makes AABIE special is that AAB employees truly make the work that AABIE does possible. Almost all money donated from grant round funding is raised by our people. It is also AAB employees who carry out all the volunteer time, with the business donating a full day of paid volunteering time to allow each employee to support community projects.

AABIE is managed by a Board of Trustees comprising of current and former members of the AAB leadership and management team, and is chaired by Sheena Anderson, one of the founding Partners of AAB.

AABIE is a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Scottish Charity No. SC046440.
