Jack Montague is a paraplanner with over 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, having worked across a wide range of cases, including many with a high level of complexity. He began his career in pension administration, where he developed a strong technical foundation and established pensions as his key area of expertise.
Alongside his professional experience, the London-based professional has consistently demonstrated a commitment to development, completing the CII Level 4 Diploma in his own time to support his career transition after changing direction in 2022. Making this shift in his late twenties, whilst managing a mortgage and other financial responsibilities, required significant resilience and determination, which he drew upon to successfully progress into his new career.
Supporting clients from all walks of life
“I have experience supporting clients from all walks of life – delivering detailed technical analysis and offering high-quality, tailored advice that is clear, robust and aligned to all their needs.”
There is no such thing as a stupid question
“I’m a people person at heart, and I believe in creating an environment where no question is ever ‘stupid’ – it’s just an opportunity to understand things better and build confidence.”
Providing clarity, responsiveness, and reassurance when it matters most
“I once supported a bereaved client who had experienced poor service from her investment provider at a very difficult time. Despite extended delays from her previous firm, I made it my priority to step in and ensure the necessary work was completed promptly and efficiently. Providing clarity, responsiveness, and reassurance when it mattered most, I was pleased to receive very positive feedback from the client.”
Keeping clients clearly informed at every stage
“I have been fortunate to receive feedback from clients who’ve praised me for completing tasks quickly and efficiently, while also appreciating the way I keep them clearly informed at every stage of the process.”
Creating a relaxed and informal environment
“Everything doesn’t have to be formal; often, the most productive conversations and the best advice come from creating a more relaxed, informal environment where people feel comfortable speaking openly.”
A strong team player who enjoys supporting others
“I take pride in being a strong team player who genuinely enjoys supporting others, and I’m highly motivated to consistently deliver the very best of my ability in everything I do.”
Working closely with clients to meet their needs
“I work closely with clients to understand exactly how much capital they need for retirement, helping them stay on track with clear, concise communication and disciplined planning between adviser and client.”
