WHO I HELP
I work with a diverse range of clients and, while I have areas of focus, I believe everyone deserves access to good financial advice and never turn people away based on profile alone.
I have particular expertise in supporting vulnerable clients, working closely with professional and lay deputies, trustees and families in relation to Court of Protection matters, personal injury and medical negligence settlements, and long-term care planning. I also provide holistic financial planning across a broad range of areas, including retirement planning, defined benefit pension reviews, and ethical and Islamic investing.
HOW I HELP
I help clients build financial confidence and clarity by taking the time to understand their personal aspirations, concerns, and values before creating a long-term financial plan. Using cash flow modelling, investment, and tax planning solutions, and conducting regular reviews, I provide a personalised and holistic service designed to help clients navigate life’s transitions and make informed decisions with confidence.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED
“I knew from a young age that I wanted to help people protect, grow, and manage their money. Growing up in Bradford, West Yorkshire, I became aware of the differences in opportunities between different socio-economic backgrounds, and I felt strongly that everyone should have access to financial education and the opportunity to build independence and financial freedom.
I also loved maths, and I still remember how much I enjoyed saving up my pocket money from my grandparents and parents and going to the bank and post office with them. Looking back, I think that early experiences, combined with my desire to empower others, naturally led me towards financial planning.”
CLARITY, TRUST, AND LONG-TERM SUPPORT
“It is incredibly important to me that clients feel informed, comfortable, and supported. There are no silly questions and no judgement. My role is to provide clarity, reassurance, and suitable options so clients can make decisions with confidence.
My coaching-led, collaborative style helps me build trusted, long-standing relationships. Supporting my clients with their personal and financial goals is a privilege, and I never take that responsibility lightly.”
EXPERIENCE, EXPERTISE AND TRUST
“I have built my career steadily across a range of financial planning environments, giving me experience with a diverse range of clients, circumstances, and financial planning challenges.
With a First-Class BA (Hons) in Financial Services Planning & Management and over 12 years of hands-on experience, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world insight to my work. I have worked as a paraplanner, financial planner and I am now a Senior Manager and Financial Planner at AAB Wealth.
I continue to enjoy helping clients simplify complex financial situations while maintaining their long-term financial security and independence.”
BEING THERE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY
“One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that kindness, regular communication, and genuine care go a long way. Clients should never feel they only hear from us once a year. Being there, checking in and providing ongoing support really matters.
One of the biggest challenges in my career was making the transition from paraplanner to financial planner. It took time, resilience, navigating a pandemic, moving to London, and trusting myself and the process, but those experiences shaped the planner I am today.”
SUPPORTING CLIENTS THROUGH UNCERTAINTY
“I once worked with a client who had a difficult experience with a previous adviser. She was anxious about her cash, pensions and investments running out during retirement.
I took the time to answer every question thoroughly, meeting with her as often as she needed and giving her space to consider any changes we discussed. Over time, she felt understood, supported, and empowered. We built a strong, trusting relationship, and she regained confidence in both receiving professional advice and her financial future.
For me, hearing a client say, ‘I completely trust you, Billy,’ or ‘I feel more comfortable thanks to your guidance and support,’ is one of the greatest compliments I can receive. It is a reminder of why I do what I do.”
A COLLABORATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL APPROACH
“Working with people who share my values – kindness, collaboration, and humanity – is one of the things I value most about being part of AAB Wealth.
I am naturally someone who brings people together, whether that’s colleagues, clients, or external specialists. I enjoy working collaboratively to find the best way forward, and I am proud to support and encourage aspiring financial planners as they develop their own careers.”
CONFIDENCE AND EDUCATION ARE KEY
“One of the greatest challenges in financial planning is keeping clients focused on the long-term nature of financial planning and investing. I always aim to listen, validate concerns, and remind clients of the long-term plan we have built together.
The most satisfying aspect of my work is hearing clients say they finally understand something they once found overwhelming, or that they feel more confident and content by working with me. Watching nervous investors grow in confidence, trust the plan we have created and embrace educated risk is incredibly rewarding.”
PEOPLE FIRST
“One of the biggest misconceptions about financial planning is that it is only about investing, or that it is only for wealthy people. The reality is that good financial planning is about people. Investing may be part of the picture, but it is only one aspect of helping clients achieve their goals and make informed decisions about their future.”
KEEPING IT SIMPLE
“I am passionate about using technology to simplify processes and automate time-consuming tasks, giving me more time to focus on what matters most – my clients and the service I provide. I am also keen to continue developing my management and leadership skills as I progress in my career and to give back to the industry.
I want every client I work with to feel heard, informed, and confident about the decisions they are making. Financial planning should never leave people feeling overwhelmed. For me, it is about providing the clarity and roadmap they need to feel in control of their financial future.”
