Anderson Anderson & Brown Wealth Ltd (AAB Wealth), one of Scotland’s leading independent financial planning firms has been awarded the prestigious Gold Standard Award for Independent Financial Advice.

Now in their 19th year, the awards recognise company excellence in the financial advice and discretionary fund management sectors. Achieving the Gold Standard means the recipient firm has all the characteristics of a successful, high-quality, sustainable and responsible business.

These awards not only take account of a company’s capability to conduct business, but assess standards of service, financial strength, fair value and trust, as well as governance and social responsibility which reflect the current financial landscape. In particular, judges were looking at how a business has gone above and beyond when serving their clients in the past 12 months.

Andrew Dines, Director & Chartered Financial Planner at AAB Wealth commented “We are delighted that AAB Wealth has achieved the Gold Standard award. This is the first year we have entered these awards, and to be one of just five firms in the UK to achieve the Gold Standard in our category is a fantastic achievement for our team.

The awards provide an opportunity for firms to assess their current business models to meet the challenges facing them today and prepare for tomorrow given our social and environmental responsibility. Therefore, it is an honour to be recognised, and awarded, for what we do and how we do it.

By putting our clients at the centre of the business it gives us a clear focus on what is important and a drive to continue to improve for the families who put their trust in us as their financial planners.”
