Why AAB Wealth?

How do I know whether AAB Wealth is the right choice for me?

We can’t tell you we are right for you. If after our initial consultation you feel that we can work together, we will progress things from there at a pace that suits you.

What type of clients do you work with?

Whether you’re wanting to prepare for your retirement, already in retirement, a business owner, professional or you want to plan for your family’s future, our team is dedicated in providing the very best financial planning advice, wherever you are on life’s journey.

Are you restricted or independent?

AAB Wealth is completely independent, providing unrestricted and impartial advice, with access to the whole of the market.

How often will you review my portfolio?

Depending on the ongoing service level agreed, we will conduct as a minimum an annual review where we will check the ongoing suitability of our advice, taking into account your current circumstances.

How long has your company been in business?

AAB Wealth was established in 2010 as a natural progression of the services offered by the wider Anderson Anderson & Brown LLP business which itself was formed in 1990.

Fees

What do you charge for an initial consultation and how much am I likely to pay going forward?

The initial consultation meeting with one of our Financial Planners is entirely free. Thereafter, any of our fees will be dependent on the nature and complexity of the work we carry out.

All fees will be confirmed in writing and agreed in advance of any work being undertaken or any planning, advice and recommendations taking place. We will also inform you if VAT is payable.

Planning my financial future

What is financial planning?

Financial Planning is the process of evaluating your current circumstances and future financial aspirations then using this information to create a comprehensive plan to help meet your financial goals over the short, medium and long term. This may be in respect of your investment, retirement, taxation and succession planning, irrespective of the journey, it should begin with a plan.

How will you invest my money?

AAB Wealth use an evidence-based approach to investing our client’s funds, combining academia and strategy. Having an evidence-based set of enduring principles provides a framework for making rational investment decisions. We provide our clients with an effective way to invest money, building confidence in our approach to investing.

How does lifetime Cash Flow Modelling help?

Cash Flow Modelling is intended to show you how far your assets can support your lifestyle over your lifetime. We want you to be able to make informed decisions now, and understand any potential impact these might have on your cash flow over the long term.

Together we can use Cash Flow Modelling to explore different events or lifestyle choices, and see the potential influence that these might have on your finances over the long term.

Retirement planning

How can you help me plan for my retirement?

At AAB Wealth, we understand that planning your retirement is one of the most important financial considerations you’ll face. Considerations include the age you wish to retire, what you would like to do and how best to use the resources you have accumulated during your working life. Whatever your ambitions for your retirement might be, we will build your personal financial plan to help you achieve them.

Whether you’re thinking about saving into a pension for the first time, or wishing to speak to someone regarding your existing arrangements, we can help you understand the choices available to you.

Trust and inheritance

Will you help with succession planning and make sure my family wealth is protected for future generations?

Our AAB colleagues in the Private Client Tax team have extensive experience in all aspects of inheritance tax, succession and trust planning. The aim is to protect and preserve your family’s wealth by balancing the need to maintain your standard of living, whilst providing for future generations in the most tax-efficient manner.

Do you advise on inheritance tax?

The Private Client Tax team can help by quantifying your current exposure to inheritance tax, providing guidance on IHT mitigation strategies including family trusts together with considering the interaction of IHT with other taxes.
